A message from Graham Peers To all you good Cairn Folk Got a big, big problem this end with Pugwash over
his task at the Fun Day on Saturday - he's dug his heels in and just won't
budge. Tells me that he fully understands of my not being
allowed to be there on Saturday, due to my leg problem - BUT if I'm not there
then he has no intention of being there without me - he's always been a
cowardly custard despite all his high handed blustering. I've tried reasoning with Pugwash and explaining
that he will be failing his sponsors who have put their money on him completing
his very difficult task - his response? - " If you are not there, then
I'm not there!" I've come to a compromise with Pugwash and that is
to ask all that have paid their sponsorship money to allow it to become a
straight donation to the Fun Day's cause. - Naturally, anyone not wishing for
it to become a donation will have their sponsorship money returned. Those who have yet to pay will be approached, at
shows, and asked if they will volunteer to make their promised money to be a
donation. Pugwash, does have a heart - he's promised to make
up any shortfall - between the already promised sponsorship total and the
amount that will be received as donations - out of his little treasure chest
which he keeps at the bottom of his bed. Thus the Fun Day organisers can rest
assured in the knowledge that all the promised money will be paid to them in
full. My apologies to all for Pugwash's not for filling
his part on the day. He does acknowledge the Fun Day shouldn't suffer due to
his attitude and that it is his responsibility in making certain the Fun Day
is the success which it deserves to be. Graham
