The Cairn
Terrier Club Championship Show
Saturday 4th
October 2003
I would like to thank the committee for
inviting me to judge this prestigious show and also thank them and the
exhibitors for their patience in what became, for me, a very difficult day (due
to a tummy upset).
I feel the depth of quality in bitches is
still a lot stronger than dogs and that movement is still a big problem,
especially front. More and more upright
shoulders and steep upper arms are creeping in, which doesn’t help with movement. On a good note toplines on the whole were
good as were ribs and rear angulation; lets keep it this way and not join the
current fashion sweeping across Europe for breeding Cairns with over angulated
hind quarters.
Veteran
Dog 2 (1)
1St – Walker’s, Bengahill Simply
Magic, 7 years old, dark brindle in very good condition, good head, well
balanced, good topline, moved well in front.
